Troubleshooting

On this Troubleshooting page you can find possible solutions to problems you encounter within 2-Controlware.

Does user have direct permissions in per source tables? See Required Authorizations.

  • Field and Dataset Security
  • Table ID Table Name Permissions
  • 11112031 2C Secured Table Per Source Read, Insert, Modify, Delete
  • 11112032 2C Secured Field Per Source Read, Insert, Modify, Delete
  • 11112033 2C Secured Dataset Per Source Read, Insert, Modify, Delete

Do you have a permission set that is data owner yourself?

Does the simplest version of field security work? (no filter, no incidental filling, only shield the field)

NAV / BC client restart? Only then does the adapted design become active

Correct field (s) on the line (s) linked?

Is the correct set linked to the field on the line?

Correct triggers active when linking set? (triggers on card are not active themselves, are copied to linked sets)

Start date filled with today or earlier and end date empty or in the future?

Is Standard mutable good?

Is a filter active? Is this correct? Note: with a filter you limit the lines of the table on which the functionality is active to the lines that are IN the result set.

  • Are you testing on the right line?

Is the checkmark Mutable good?

  • You don't have to change it yourself, but have it controlled by field std can be changed!

Is the filter correct? Optionally test it on a page or if you run the table from dev. Environment or object explorer.

Does user have direct permissions in per source tables?

  • Mandatory Fields
  • Table ID Table Name Permissions
  • 11112045 2C Mandatory Table Per Source Read, Insert, Modify, Delete
  • 11112046 2C Mandatory Field Per Source Read, Insert, Modify, Delete
  • 11112051 2C Error Message per User Read, Insert, Modify, Delete

The most basic version of the mandatory field works: no filter, nothing conditional. Just the check mark not empty?

Is a filter active? Is this correct? Note: with a filter you limit the lines of the table on which the functionality is active to the lines that are IN the result set.
