Work with Users
In your Contract is determined the number of Authorization Box users. Go to Setup, General fasttab Users. Press the Newbutton (under fasttab Users) to setup a new User.
Enter the users Email address and click on Save & Close to save the User. The user will now receive an email with a password to log in.
After this you have to enter the user details:
- Name: Enter the users Name
- Phone Number: Enter the Users Phone Number
- Function Profile: Select the Users Profile. The Application Manager has no restrictions on rights
Press the Select button under fasttab Databases to link the User to the Dynamics NAV database(s) for which he has access to.
Clink on Save to save the selection.
Under fasttab Roles you can see the Roles (permissions) based on the Function Profile. If needed you can Edit this for the user. Press on the Edit button and select or deselect the roles.

Lock or Unlock User
When a User tries to login several times with a wrong password he will be locked. In the User overview it is possible to Unlock (or lock) the User. You are also able to Reset the Users Password. The User will get an Email with the new Password. Press on the lock icon to lock or unlock the user.Press on the reset icon the reset the password.
Multifactor Authentication
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) requires users to successfully complete two steps to access Authorization Box. It involves entering the username and password, including a confirmation code sent by email. This provides additional control during the login process. For example, it prevents users from logging in immediately when they have identified a username and password. For this they also need access to a user's mail.
MFA can be set via Setup > General > Edit. At the bottom of the customer card are the following records with which MFA can be set:
With Authentication method you have the following options:
- Basic: Log in with your credentials for Authorization Box. * Microsoft: Log in with your Microsoft Office credentials.
Under Multi Factor Authentication you have 2 options:
- Disabled: Multi Factor Authentication is not enabled. * Mail Code: You will receive a verification code by mail as a second check on your login attempt.
The Basic and disabled setting or Microsoft and disabled setting ensures that Multi Factor Authentication is not enabled.
When MFA is set, the bottom of the users for which MFA applies. You can activate / deactivate the MFA per user via the button that appears.
When MFA is set to Mail Code, you face one of the following two scenario’s
Scenario 1: Basic & Mail Code
In this scenario, the user logs in with their Authorization Box credentials and receives a second Authentication email.
Enter your login details and click login
You will receive an email with the confirmation code. Note that code is only valid once. When you log in again you will receive a new email.
In the input field below, enter the code from the email:
You are now logged in and can start working within your Authorization Box environment.
Scenario 2: Microsoft & Mail Code
In this scenario, the user logs in with their Microsoft Office credentials and receives a second Authentication email.
Click on the green button ‘Login with Windows’.
You will enter the Microsoft Office login screen. You must enter your Microsoft email and password here.
You will receive an email with the confirmation code. Note that code is only valid once. When you log in again you will receive a new email.
In the input field below, enter the code from the email:
You are now logged in and can start working within your Authorization Box environment. After 30 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged out automatically.
